I am on yet another road trip because it was not cold enough where I live in North Carolina. Consequently, I am heading up to east-central Wisconsin to spend a week with family and freeze my derriere off in the frigid temperatures. As if to mock my devout wishes, the weather is going to be more like home rather than the arctic circle. <angry face> Hopefully, there will be snow in which to frolic, otherwise, WTF was I thinking?

Tonight, I am staying in a lovely Homeboy Suites, near the Ohio River in Louisville Kentucky, which was not my first choice; Motel 6 was booked up. I am a huge fan of Motel 6 founder, Tom Bodett. He always leaves a light on for you and was hilarious on the NPR news quiz show, Wait, Wait, Don’t Tell Me.

Louisville is home to the late, great Muhammad Ali, Louisville Slugger baseball bats, KFrC (Kentucky Fried roadkill Chicken), and our favorite political curmudgeon who always votes his MIA conscience, Senator Mitch McConnell.

The senator’s place of residence is about 15 minutes from where I am staying and, if I get enough positive responses from subscribers, I will drive by and take a selfie in front of his house to post on my wit’s end. I just want you all to be complicit!

Let me know ASAP, please, so I can plan accordingly tomorrow morning when leaving.
